The families of Alam Cocos founders are involved in coconut plantations since 1970s. With the abundant knowledge, extensive experience and rich tradition passed from generations to generations, Alam Cocos was founded with state-of-the-art infrastructure and IoT controlled machineries. We closely collaborate with the horticulture and agricultural experts to understand the needs of growers with soilless, organic and eco-friendly substrates.

Alam Cocos was founded by two enthusiastic entrepreneurs – Jagadeshwaran and Jagadeesan, and empowered by agricultural and horticultural experts. The founders are highly educated and well qualified industrial experts with international exposure and expertise.
Jagadeshwaran is driving the strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing activities at Alam Cocos. He is greatly influenced by his grandfather who taught him about agricultural industry in childhood. His passion in technology and innovation led him to learn about why-and-how coconut plays a significant role in the economy of India. He has over twelve years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, IoT, 3-D printers, and industrial automation. He holds a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, and an MBA from IIM Indore.
Jagadeesan oversee operations to keep the production, quality and delivery on-track, and implements policies to promote the company culture and vision. He brings over 20 years of industrial experience in technology, and product manufacturing services. He is an effective and efficient cross-functional and cross-cultural communicator. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer science from University of Magdeburg, Germany.
They both have spent considerable years of their profession in Europe and USA.
Location
Alam Cocos is located at Aandipalayam, a rural area located at the outskirts of Pollachi, where tropical climate and monsoon rains provide abundant water throughout the year. Driven by the abundant availability of Coconut Husks in our area, we have an assured and steady supply of raw materials. The export of coir fiber and coco pith provides employment opportunities around the locality and forms a major segment of village in terms of production.
The factory is setup in 5.5 acres of land and well connected via roads from the cities – Coimbatore, Tirupur and Pollachi. The nearby bus stop is located at 0.5 kms, Coimbatore Railway station is 24 kms away and Coimbatore International Airport is 36 kms away.
